I would like to propose a trade alliance where each account specializes in one type of item. For example leather armor, scrolls etc.
I am not limiting what you put on your vendors just proposing that you be the one vendor on this shard responsible for making that specific item. You can still put what you want on your vendors but you are only committed to restock if its your one item. All I'm asking for is a committment to keep one item stocked. I know that supply and demand will work over time, just trying to speed things up.
Post what you think about this idea. If you like, put what item you would like to be responsible for. I have not created my crafter yet so if anything this will be a census for what the shard needs.
My vendor when I make him will probably be in Magencia, that mall thing is such a good idea. One stop shopping.
*bows his head*
I am here to serve.

This sounds like a GREAT idea Pete! I'd also like to encourage the players of Kenaz to post here with what item they can provide and keep constantly stocked for players here. I think that this idea of Pete's would be a wonderful way to make sure that players are able to get items as they need them, new and old players alike!
We need someone to devote to putting up and keeping stocked the following vendors that I can think of right now, post here if you can come up w/other items.
Furniture Scrolls Runebooks Spellbooks Potions Pet Supplies Regular Armor Regular Weapons Dwarven Armor Dwarven Weapons FireRock Armor FireRock Weapons Clay Armor and items Norse Armor Norse Weapons Home Decor Tamed Animals Clothing Tools and Misc skill Supply items Reagents
Anyone willing to devote one vendor to something on this list and willing to keep it in constant stock please post here and let us know! Or if you have another item not on the list that you would like to add here, post it! Thanks for the GREAT idea Pete!!

I'm trying to get an inscription vendor up but can't find the last few scrolls I need to finish my spell book. I need all the last 8th circle spells. The best way I found to get scrolls to fill spellbooks is through fishing up SOS treasures =)

Inscription vendor would be great. I'll work on an armor vendor. It won't be much to start but I'll work on learning spell crafting, and the different smithing and well see where it leads but for now. I'll do regular armor. Thanks for you response able.

Just an update. I have a stocked leather armor vendor(Jenny) at the Magencia Mall. I have put 15 suits of exceptional leather (5 barbed, 5 horned, and 5 spined). The suits sell for 7k each. I am committed to keeping these filled. I am working on a second vendor at the same location. This will be a more miscellaneous one. I have few pieces of jewelry and Im going to put some cooked ribs in it. I'll work on some good kites and maybe some bucklers to go in it. Able, hows your inscription vendor going? If you still don't have the 8th circle spells lets join forces and go fishing. I'll create a fisher tonight(after 9pm cst) and see what I can do. Until then I suggest you put what you got on the market. The recalls, spellbooks and runebooks would really be useful to new players. It took me about three days to find a recall on a drake. (It was the second to last spell that dropped) I looked for a spell book when I first got here and there was not one to be had. Definately a market there as we pick up new people. I spent most of Smitty's starting money on the new crafting tools and books but I haven't worked on that yet. That will be to coming soon. In conclusion I would like to say once again that this can't work without participation from all of yall. An alliance of one is no alliance at all. If I or Abel are making what you wanted to make on your vendor let us know maybe we can split up responsibilities so that one person makes leather armor and the other makes ore armor(or make runebooks and the other make spellbooks and scrolls). More than likely, I'd just pick something else up, like weapons or potions. This alliance will keep us from working our tails off trying to make everything. If you enjoy crafting and want the independence of being self supplied thats one thing but isn't there anyone like me that doesn't want to spend all their online time crafting? Lets work together, so we don't have to work hard.

Another update. Recent events have made me reconsider my leather armor vendor. I am going to downscale it (2 suits of each type). This will reduce my vendor fees thus allowing it be more survivable without feeding it with gold every month. For now I don't have any leather armor on my vendor but I will try to get it stocked tomorrow.
The meat I was going to add to my vendor has been delayed. I went to Brit to cook it at the bakery and I was having to cook the ribs individually. Not that I mind this, it would actually make my product worth more if people had to work for it. I suspect that they will cook in stacks if you have a hand crafted oven. Can anyone verify this?
I took my crafter to Daemon temple and tried mining firerock and didnt get any response. Do those firepits have fire rock in them?
I am still farming dragons trying to get some good armor to enhance. Since I switched from Spined to Horned, I am not dying as often but my drops are not as good. I will probably start a tamer, that may make things a bit easier.
Still looking for reliable crafters to join the alliance. If you are willing post here what you want to make and where you vendor will be.

Forgot to add, I now have repair deeds(tailor and smith) on my vendor at Magencia Mall. I figure everyone has a crafter to do repairs but if you don't want to log off and then back on, its here for you. I used a few from another vendor when I first started so I put some up.

Just restocked my vendor with two suits of each leather armor(spined, horned, barbed). The sell for 7k each.
Heard someone today talk about needing a full spell book. I am going to add spell books that have 1st through 7th circle spells. This will keep us going until a real scribe can join the alliance. I'll have to do some figuring and see how much these scrolls will sell for in the npc vendors so that I can see what kind of price I'll charge but I am thinking, I'll work on that tomorrow evening.
I also traded for a dull copper runic. I will place some weapons and shields on my vendor as I get an opportunity.
If anyone would like to take the helm and make any of the things I've listed just let me know which item you are going to stock and where your vendor is. able I haven't heard from you lately so I didn't know if you were going to do the scribe thing or not. If you still want to do it, post here or contact me in-game.

Thanks Cindy. It will help, when people come to this shard, if we have stocked vendors for them to get started with. Anybody else want to join? We've double or tripled our membership. This thing is taking off like a blimp made of a heavy metal.

Was able to put an incomplete spell book 1st thru 7th. I am selling it for 4k. This will help new people get started a bit easier. I'll work on a couple of runebooks, next.

I took my crafter to Daemon temple and tried mining firerock and didnt get any response. Do those firepits have fire rock in them? I can answer that one easily enough. Any lava area is minable for firerock as long as you can get close enough to it to actually target it. Daemon temple's lava is surrounded by high rocks making it impossible to mine the lava. Your best bets will be the Ancient lair & outside Exodus dungeon, both in Ilshenar. And possibly around Montor, if you can get close enough. Beware tho, you will also occasionally mine up a firerock elemental and they tend to be tough. (I was kinda cruel that way, as with the damage on fail in the crafting)

Another update. My vendor, Jenny at Magencia Mall is actually starting to earn her keep. I am still adjusting my quantities and restocking more often to offset the vendor fees but I'll find a balance on it eventually. I've talked to Adol and he seems committed to making armor. I've looked at his inventory and it is better than the regular leather I have so I think I'll downsize my leather to one suit of exceptional spined(7k). I added some clay pieces(5 or 6K), we'll have to see how well they do. I have yet to sell a repair deed(50gp), so I will definately downsize the quantity of them. The powder of fortification(10k) is still there but I think this will be a thing that people will need eventually I will try to keep that one in stock. The complete spellbook(6k), runebook(800-1k), gates(75gp) and recalls(50gp) have been the hardest thing to keep in stock. I have considered increasing my inventory, but I'd think I'd rather run empty for a bit than have it sitting there charging me to have it in stock. I haven't branched out into the necro books yet but that is in the future. Had someone look at my vendor the other day and the thing they were looking for was pet leashes and powerful weapons. I talked to Adol who is already making the pet dyes and he says he might do something along the lines of pet shrink pots or pet leashes. So check S-Mart for that in the future. As for the weapons, thats a bit harder. I have been working on the bods and have had some sucess but the highest hammer I've gotten so far is a shadow. Nothing really that great will come from it but I might be able to make a spell channelling weapon. That leaves Firerock, Dwarven and Norse. I havent worked on any of these and I am just going to have to do some experimenting. Smitty is pretty much broke because I spent his 150k on all those books that you need to do the special crafting. I will be adding these types of items to vendor it will just be a matter of figuring out what works. Any advice would be appreciated. I believe that vendors will help the beginning experience on Kenaz. That people will come here, equip themselves and get involved in the Kenaz content. Make it easier for them to get started. After they build a base they will be able to do things on their own but that initial hump can be more than a lot of people are willing to do. Do we want these players not to join us? Some people would say, No. We'll see. In the end the quality of the players will be the thing that makes people stay. Thats our biggest asset and you can't sell that on a vendor.
